Sting is first on the tag team's target list.

The Young Bucks all but confirmed their challenge to Sting and Derby Allin on last night's AEW Dynamite, as the tag team debuted a new direction for their characters.

In a sit-down interview with Renne Paquette, Nick and Matt Jackson leaned into their roles as company EVPs as they explained why they've targeted a match with Sting at Revolution, which will be the wrestling icon's final outing between the ropes.

The pair claimed that when they helped create AEW, they wanted to 'change the world' and that names like Sting do not fit that remit.

With Sting firmly in their sights, here are five other AEW stars who the EVP version of The Young Bucks could target next...

Adam Copeland

The most obvious name and next down the 'legend' list would be that of the recently debuted Rated R Superstar. Copeland is currently still knee-deep in a programme with former pal Christian, however, a nice way to transition him out of that feud would be for an angle with AEW EVPs. Not only would it continue the agenda of the Young Bucks, but it would give fans a never-before-seen clash of Copeland and the Bucks.

Dustin Rhodes

We've recently more of Rhodes on AEW TV and his presence would be a perfect plot point for the Young Bucks to double down on their new persona. His obvious connection to his brother, a fellow founder of AEW, will add a little spice and allow the Young Bucks to really flex their EVP muscles, adding layers to the new gimmick.

Christian Cage

Once Christian eventually does drop the TNT Title, he is another name that the Young Bucks could look to eliminate. This would require a subtle face turn from Cage, but having been fully immersed in his current persona, a correctly timed turn could freshen him up. A programme with the Young Bucks would be the ideal way to start moving in that new direction.

Bryan Danielson

Danielson may have already crossed paths with the Young Bunks in AEW, but there's money to be made in their new EVP roles and targetting Bryan as another name who doesn't fall in line with their vision. With the American Dragon looking to wind down his in-ring activity over the new year, a programme with the Young Bucks would be a big enough deal to cover for his lighter schedule.

Samoa Joe

He may currently be the AEW World Champion, but perhaps a nice story to tell would be the Young Bucks looking to get the belt off him and onto someone who they see as more in line with their view for the company. It would propel the EVP gimmick into the world title picture and allow Joe to find a new gear in his run.
