Jon Moxley’s current problems with The Elite didn’t prevent the former AEW world champion from making an appearance at NJPW Dontaku 2023.
Moxley is scheduled to appear for the Japanese organisation on May 21 at Resurgence and he made that point emphatically when appearing on the screen following an introduction from Shota Umino.
Moxley has not wrestled in New Japan since last October but since then, the Ohio native has made a big impression in AEW.
After losing his world title to CM Punk, Moxley has been embroiled in a superb rivalry with Hangman Page which has led to the Blackpool Combat Club currently feuding with The Elite.
That spat still has plenty of life left in it with AEW Double or Nothing set to be the event where it all overspills at the end of May.
Moxley appears for NJPW one week earlier and with Umino approaching Okada at the end of his six-man tag match, will Moxley somehow be dragged into that dispute?
