It has been a couple of weeks since Jey Uso broke away from cousin Roman Reigns’ mental abuse to stick by his brother Jimmy Uso’s side, instead.
And as The Usos' Bloodline Civil War match against Reigns and Solo Sikoa draws closer at Money in the Bank on Saturday, Jey has a stinging prediction to make about their younger brother.
“He’s going to smarten up. Just like we left [Reigns’] ass, Solo is going to get smart, too, and leave his ass, too, because that’s what Roman has been doing lately — mistreating us to stay on top,” Jey Uso told WWE Sparring Sessions in a video uploaded by WWE’s YouTube account Thursday.
“Ain’t nobody going to have your back, Uce,” he tacked on. “Not here. No friends, none of that. Family will, though. All day. He’s going to learn.”
Jimmy added: “We grew up watching him, literally, but at the end of the day, you’ll always be little brother.”
That being said, they partially understand Solo’s allegiance to Reigns.
“Solo – shoot, why wouldn’t you want to align yourself with the top?” Jimmy pondered. “The champ, the best of the best.”
“He’s under that learning tree,” Jey chimed in.
Whether Jay’s prediction for Solo comes true or not, The Usos, one of the most celebrated tag teams in pro wrestling history, believe they’ll step into the ring in London with a distinct edge over their cousin and younger brother — despite Reigns' stronghold on WWE.
“One thing about Solo and Roman, right, is that they never been in the ring against me and my brother,” Jimmy said. “That’s the big difference we've got here. We've got the chemistry, the tag team, we’re clicking on all cylinders over here.”
Added Jey: “If somebody’s going to put them in line, it’s got to be our own family. They’re teaming together against the best tag team in the world. We are that. They are moving alone.
"You could do whatever you want to do alone. The way Roman has been acting lately, you really think he trusts anyone but himself? No. They can’t read each other’s mind. We really can.”
