John Cena has responded to Kenny Omega's comments about him in the most John Cena way possible.
Earlier this week, AEW star Omega praised Cena as "incredible" and lauded the longtime WWE icon for his work in and out of the ring.
Despite never having met him, Omega gushed about the 16-time WWE champion-turned-Hollywood actor, singling out Cena's effort to connect with fans as one of his most admirable traits.
"I think he's great, a great professional wrestler," Omega said in a recent Twitch stream. "He's done an incredible amount for the business that I don't think anyone will be able to match anytime soon.
"The reason why is because Cena wasn't doing anything for the sake of an accomplishment or trophy or recognition, people went out of their way after the fact to say, 'Look at all this stuff John is doing in his off time.'
"For the amount of effort he has put in to make people's lives better, whether it be Make-A-Wish, fans at the arenas, or autograph signings, it's a great example for what the face of a company should be or for the face of the industry.
"I'm a very big proponent of John Cena, I think he's incredible."
Days later, Cena took to social media to respond to Omega.
The 46-year-old entertainer famously posts photos without captions on his Instagram account, often baffling fans who try to decipher the meaning of the context-free posts.
On Wednesday, Cena gave Omega the same Instagram treatment, simply posting an uncaptioned photo of his fellow wrestler in what can only be assumed as a homage to the AEW star.
