Kurt Angle is fully aware of what it takes to be a great wrestler but who does the WWE Hall of Famer believe is the best wrestler of all time.
Angle shared the ring with numerous elite level performers such as Shawn Michales, The Rock and Steve Austion, but the Olympic gold medallist thinks Bret Hart was better than them all.
Although their careers in WWE never crossed, Angle has always been a big admirer of the Canadian superstar and he has made it clear that he would have loved the opportunity to compete against him.
Hart was one of the biggest stars of the 1990s and Angle has paid tribute to the former WWE and WCW champion.
"It is Bret Hart because I believe that he's the greatest wrestler of all time," said Angle when speaking on The Kurt Angle Show in 2021. "I believe that with his in-ring performance, there's nobody better.
"Don't get me wrong, a Ric Flair needs to be up there too because he's the man. Ric was a great wrestler and could get people interested in the psychology of the match, but he was also very entertaining.
"He took a lot of crazy Ric Flair bumps, you knew what he was going to do, and you wanted him to do it. Bret Hart was just the best overall technician I have ever seen in my life."
