Jon Moxley is enjoying one of best years of his illustrious career, but the AEW star is setting his sights on further championship glory.
Despite currently embroiled in a stunning storyline alongside his Blackpool Combat Club compatriots against The Elite, Moxley has also been wrestling in Japan with numerous appearances under the NJPW banner.
One of wrestling’s most decoarted perofmers, Moxley has often been covered in championship gold but there’s one title that’s evaded him and he’s eager to put that right.
The IWGP belt holds a ton of prestige in the world of professional wrestling and with Sanada the current holder, he’s in the sights of Moxley.
“I’ve become both the WWE world heavyweight champion and the AEW World champion, but I haven’t become the IWGP world heavyweight champion yet,” said Moxley when speaking to Tokyo Sports.
“I don’t think there’s anyone out there who’s wrapped up? If I’m going to fight SANADA, I have an image of myself as the IWGP World Champion, so it might be interesting.”
