Samoa Joe is enjoying life as AEW champion following a legendary career that has saw him make a big splash in a number of promotions including TNA and WWE.
After recently defeating MJF to become the ruler in Tony Khan’s company Joe has had to face tough opposition such as HOOK, and now he’s getting ready to embark in a rivalry with Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.
Despite a huge target being on his back as beltholder, Joe has never been one to evade a challenge as he’s faced the best the business has had to offer over the last two decades.
With CM Punk, Kurt Angle and Roman Reigns all previous foes of Joe, who does the veteran consider the hardest hitting opponent he has ever faced?
“The list is a Mount Rushmore of some of the most dangerous people in the world,” said Joe when speaking to Bleacher Report.
“You start from [Kenta] Kobashi and [Mitsuharu] Misawa. Young Wardlow. He hits like a truck. Brock Lesnar hits like a truck. Roman Reigns hits like a truck.
“There’s tons of people around the sphere of wrestling who all hit hard, and I’ve felt all that power, but they don’t hit as hard as me.”
