Steve Austin is one of wrestling's greatest ever stars.

As the leading star of professional wrestling from the late 1990s into the new millennium, Stonecold Steve Austin provided wrestling fans with many memorable moments.

His incredible rise saw him become a mainstream attraction due to high profile interactions alongside the likes of The Rock and Mike Tyson was hugely successful as Austin delivered impeccably in the ring.

In a lengthy career that saw him take part in numerous classics against The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Bret Hart, which match stands out most to Austin?

In an interview with Chris Jericho, another former rival, Austin revealed his favourite match and it’s the Wrestlemania 13 classic against Bret Hart that was overseen by UFC legend, Ken Shamrock.

“You know, that match with Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 is a real special match to me because not often is it required or is it asked of two talents to go in there and execute a double turn,” said Austin on Talk is Jericho

“There’s a lot of guys in the wrestling business don’t even know what a double turn is. There’s got to be work on the back end to solidify the story, but it starts with the in-ring match. To go out there and do it. It was the first time I ever attempted to do it, that one time and it was with Bret.

“To execute that at the highest level, to end up in that Sharpshooter with that iconic image which will always be remembered. To leave that lasting memory was very special to me.”
