Stone Cold Steve Austin names his worst ever storyline that involved himself

Stone Cold Steve Austin names his worst ever storyline that involved himselfDAZN
Steve Austin has been reflecting.

Stone Cold Steve Austin played his part in numerous memorable storylines at the peak of his career, but what part of his wrestling run does he consider the worst in terms of storytelling.

Austin made a triumphant return to the ring at WrestleMania 38 to face Kevin Owens, but it was a storyline from 1999 that Austin does not remember fondly.

Requiring a spell away from the ring to focus on an injured neck, Austin exited WWE in a dramatic manner to recover.

The plot included Austin being run over by a mystery driver backstage at Survivor Series 99 with Rikishi and HHH revealed to be the parties responsible for Austin’s absence.

“Yeah, about ’99 because I had to get my neck fused. I was gone for about a year. You caught the worst part of my career. Me being clipped by a god dang car,” said Austin when speaking on his podcast

“S—t, that was the worst storyline I was ever involved in. But we had to come up with a way so that we could get my a—s out of the way. That was Stone Cold Steve Austin, I had to get my neck fused up and that was a suck-a—s angle.”
