Will the two-time winner make an appearance? John Cena has been linked to showing up at Wrestlemania later this year, but could he get the ball rolling at the Royal Rumble? A likely meeting with Austin Theory is the type of programme that Cena could sink his teeth into, and that storyline could be massively developed at the January showpiece.

The most electrifying man in sports entertainment is always speculated to return to wrestling during Wrestlemania season. A contest between ‘The Great One’ and Roman Reigns is the biggest money-making match available in wrestling and if we’re to see it this year at Wrestlemania then The Rock will surely have make an appearance at the Royal Rumble.

After making a triumphant return at last year’s Wrestlemania against Kevin Owens, has Steve Austin got the hunger to do it all again. A three-time winner of the Rumble, could Austin make it four victories with a return that would send the crowd crazy?

A frequent star on AEW television over the last 12 months, could Jay White make his WWE bow before his NJPW exit is confirmed? White has a big decision to make over the coming months but if circumstances allow it, a debut at the Royal Rumble could be the perfect way to begin his WWE career.

The Canadian star receives an enormous response whenever she appears and a surprise entry in this year’s event would be no different.
