The Undertaker and Sting have both wrestled legendary names during their illustrious careers, but their paths never crossed despite fans eager to see the mysterious pair go at it.
Earlier this month, Sting walked away from wrestling at AEW Revolution as he left on a high with victory over the Young Bucks alongside Darby Allin.
Despite spending the bulk of their careers in rival companies, Sting and The Undertaker were both in WWE together for a brief period during Sting’s stay there.
The WCW legend would take on the likes of Triple H and Seth Rollins in huge matches, and The Undertaker has opened up on why the match never happened.
“He had a short run in WWE and Vince didn’t want it for whatever reason, I don’t know what it was. He just didn’t feel it,” said The Undertaker on the Six Feet Under podcast.
“And everybody else was like, people have been clamouring for this match for quite a few years. And I mean, I don’t know, a year or two into his turn or that character change, people were sending me artwork with the billboard of the poster. So, yeah, it just never worked out.”
