Who wants to swap the Octogan for a wrestling ring?

The merger of WWE and UFC under the new TKO banner has opened the door to possible crossovers between the two entities in the coming months, and one UFC name has confessed his desire to step into a WWE ring.

Over the years, several names have swapped the Octogan for the squared circle, including Brock Lesnar, Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey and Matt Riddle. Now British fighter Paddy Pimblett has admitted his love for all things WWE.

Asked during an exclusive interview with DAZN, thanks to AceOdds, if he'd ever considered a WWE run, the Scouse star gave an emphatic yes to being the next crossover name.

"Yes, I have thought about that to be honest," he admitted.

"I have because I used to love the WWE growing up. Shawn Michaels, The Heartbreak Kid is my favourite fighter. I'd love to Sweet Chin Music someone in the cage in the UFC. D-Generation X, when I was even younger, X-Pac was my favourite wrestler.

"So yeah, I would. WWE pays big money as well and you've got to have a character, you've got to have a personality and I've got a personality, so it would work. So yeah, Triple H, if you ever wanted to sign me up, just let me know I'll make an appearance for some cash."
