Who does the best powerbomb? AEW star Wardlow names his choice as the 'ultimate' performer of the moveDAZN

A powerbomb is a move generally reserved for the biggest and baddest in professional wrestling.

The act of lifting an opponent over one's head and slamming them back-first into the mat is a simple-yet-brutal move that's generally followed by a three count to end a match. Given the strength needed to properly pull off a powerbomb, it's usually only used by wrestling's most physically imposing personalties.

AEW TNT Champion Wardlow definitely strikes such a figure, and last month he used a powerbomb to defeat Powerhouse Hobbs to recapture the title. As someone familiar with the move and its devastating effects, Wardlow has his opinions on the best to have ever used a powerbomb in a wrestling ring.

For the AEW star, there's one man who stands above the rest.

"Growing up, one of my favourite wrestlers — I had his poster on my wall — was 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash," Wardlow said.

"I was a big Diesel fan, [and an] even bigger Kevin Nash NWO fan. So the jackknife powerbomb to me is like the ultimate number one."

Wardlow didn't stop at just one, however. He also named two more legendary wrestlers to round out his best three to ever use the powerbomb.

"My other biggest inspiration ... was Dave Bautista with the Batista Bomb," Wardlow said, naming the WWE star-turned-Hollywood actor as his number two.

"Those are the top two, followed by Sid Vicious," he said.

"I don't know if it gets much better than those three."
