WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has been handed the ultimate honour on his return to the UK by being inducted into the The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame for Scotland.
McIntyre will headline Saturday night's massive WWE event in Glasgow when he challenges Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle, but before he steps into the ring, he made a visit to Rangers' Ibrox Stadium to receive his induction.
The Scottish Warrior is the first-ever wrestler from the UK to become a world champion in WWE, and his contribution to the sport has been acknowledged by the accolade, which was presented to him by the Provost of Glasgow City Council, Jacqueline McLaren.
The 39-year-old, who hails from Ayr, was given the honour at the iconic football stadium - and the home of the team that McIntyre supports - alongside fellow WWE Superstar Piper Niven and Scottish strongman Tom Stoltman.
Upon receiving the award, McIntyre said: "It's not often I'm lost for words, but it's just hard to put this into words. Hopefully, my face says it all because it's just disbelief. I'm in Ibrox Stadium, where my football team play, being inducted into the Scottish wrestling Hall of Fame - the only active wrestler to be ever be inducted.
"It's the same weekend as Clash at the Castle, the first Scottish PLE, and I'm fighting for the world title. What is life right now? It's mental, I'm living the dream."
