WWE Survivor Series 2023: CM Punk makes surprising return after Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes shine brightDAZN
It all took place live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Randy Orton's return to WWE from back fusion surgery was electric enough.

But it didn't have a chance to upstage the moment that would come next as CM Punk made a shocking return to WWE to end Survivor Series 2023: War Games on Saturday night, live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Fans went from raucous over Orton to being downright delirious and in disbelief over Punk in a matter of minutes.

Punk's return was rumored soon after his departure from AEW with his return only seeing those rumors to fruition.

It came right after Orton's return helped lead his team of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn to victory over Judgment Day.

The Viper's return also helped thwart a Rhea Ripley attempt to cash in on the Money in the Bank contract on behalf of Damian Priest.

Well after Orton got settled into the match, he unleashed an RKO from hell on JD McDonagh, who was thrown into the finishing move from atop the cage.

Next came Orton tossing Priest into the clutches of Cody Rhodes who performed the Cross Rhodes for the pinfall.

As the five men celebrated their victory, Punk's music blared to the Chicago crowd's delight as his return comes right before the Road to WrestleMania.

Elsewhere at Survivor Series, the squad consisting of Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL.

Here's how the entire WWE Survivor Series 2023: War Games went.
