Justin Fields has criticised Detroit Lions captain Alex Anzalone and the Lions team.
Appearing on the St. Brown Bros podcast, Fields discussed various topics. And on the topic of hard-hitting teams, the quarterback singled out Chicago's rivals for specific criticism.
Fields said, "Y'all (the Lions) play harder than most teams," Fields said. "I will say that y'all play harder and through the whistle, and y'all got some dirty players on your team; I'm not gonna cap."
That provoked a reaction from Lions star Amon Ra-St. Brown. St. Brown asked, "No, we don't. Who's dirty?"
Fields answered, saying, "34 bro, Anzalone, bro. He be doing too much extra stuff for me, dog. I'm cool with the competition; I'm cool with that. But all the extra stuff, like, I'm cool with all that. Tackle me and get up."
Fields has played the Lions six times in the last three seasons. The games between both teams are physical, aggressive battles. And the Lions are known for playing at 100mph. As defensive captain, Anzalone is Detroit's tone-setter.
With Fields' future in Chicago uncertain, the Lions might not see Fields again. But if Fields does stay with the Bears, this will certainly add spice to their games in the 2024 season.
