Buffalo Bills tackle Dion Dawkins has not held back when giving his opinion about the New York Jets.
The Bills and Jets are AFC East divisional rivals, and on Wednesday the two teams will find out when they will meet in the 2024 NFL season.
Three-time Pro Bowler Dawkins said the attitude of some Jets players towards Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been "overly disrespectful" at times.
And speaking to Good Morning Football, Dawkins had his say once and for all.
"I respect players, and people who play the game the right way, with passion," said Dawkins.
"There are a lot of players on the Jets that play with that passion, there are good players, but when one person does one thing it turns the whole thing.
"When you get on the football field, I love chatter and talk that's part of the game, but when you're saying overly disrespectful things to players like 17 [Josh Allen], it's like, 'Are you for real?'
"Why are you talking to us? We ain't no gangsters, we're football players. Let's stop with all the shenanigans.
"If you want to be a football player, be a football player. If you want to be that, turn in your shoulder pads, jersey and helmet in and go be that."
The 2017 second-round selection did insist that not all Jets players fall into that category, but would not go as far as to say they were friends.
"I hate that I have to put them all in one basket because there are some good apples over there," added Dawkins.
"There are a couple that are cool, but we aint friends. We don't call each other. It is what it is, it's Bills against the world, kill or be killed."
