The Buffalo Bills are asking their fans to help with snow removal at Highmark Stadium.
It's a winter tradition as regular as turkey and pumpkin pie in Western New York, which gets blasted with wintry weather for much of the second half of the NFL season. And an impending snowstorm has prompted the Bills to once again put out the call for help.
"Winter is coming," the Bills posted on X (formerly Twitter). "In anticipation of the upcoming snowfall, we're asking Bills Mafia to register to be a prospective snow shoveler."
The latest forecast sees Orchard Park, the Buffalo suburb where the Bills' stadium stands, set to receive upwards of 10 inches of snow from Saturday evening until Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kick-off against the visiting San Francisco 49ers.
For their part, the Bills are offering $20 per hour with food and hot beverages provided for anyone over 18 who can help with snow removal this weekend and for the remainder of the season.
"Prospective snow shovelers will be asked to dress appropriately for the weather (gloves, scarves, hats, coats, boots, etc.)," the Bills' statement read. "Fans may bring their own shovels, but shovels will be provided by the Bills and ABM."
