It is a new era in Carolina, as the Panthers go into the 2023 with a new franchise quarterback in Bryce Young and new head coach, Frank Reich.
The Panthers traded away wide receiver DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears as part of a blockbuster trade which secured the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
With that pick they selected Alabama quarterback Young, a Heisman Trophy winner who led his team to a 10-2 record in 2022, throwing 32 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
To support their new quarterback, the Panthers also acquired Adam Thielen, DJ Chark, and Hayden Hurst in the offseason, and drafted wide receiver Jonathan Mingo who starred at the combine earlier this year.
That group may not be elite, but it should provide Young with enough options to keep Carolina competitive in his first season in the NFL.
The Panthers will also need to make significant improvements on the defensive side of the ball to be a real threat, but in a weak NFC South a postseason adventure is not out of the question for Carolina.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of the Carolina Panthers' 2023 season.
