Defensive Player of The Year has made a bold prediction ahead of Super Bowl 58.
Garrett won his first Defensive Player of The Year Award at Thursday night's NFL Honors.
And while in Las Vegas, many fans and media members have asked for Garrett's thoughts ahead of this Sunday's Super Bowl.
Garrett and his Cleveland Browns defeated the San Francisco 49ers earlier this season. Therefore, he has a unique insight for this matchup.
Speaking ahead of Thursday's NFL Honors, Garrett said, "Chiefs. They got a real solid defense, the best that Mahomes has ever had. You can never pick against them."
Garrett also provided a bold pick for Super Bowl MVP. The 28-year-old said, "Chris Jones. He's a massive individual. He can work inside and out, play defensive tackle and defensive end."
In the 21st century, just four defensive players have won MVP. If Jones joins that club on Sunday, he will have played a monumental game.
Jones is one of Kansas City's game-wreckers. He is capable of destroying an opponent's offensive game plan. A ringing endorsement from the NFL's best defensive player is high praise.
