Lions get breakout game from rookie Jahmyr Gibbs to blast Raiders on Monday Night FootballAP
The first-round pick dazzled at Ford Field and before a national audience.

Dan Campbell was looking for his Detroit Lions to bounce back following an embarrassing loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week.

Well, the head coach got just that from his Lions who rode a breakout game from Jahmyr Gibbs to deliver a 26-14 home win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football from Ford Field in Detroit. The rookie running back Gibbs rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, while producing 37 receiving yards. Quarterback Jared Goff had 272 passing yards and a touchdown, while also committing an interception in the victory.

After Goff fell victim to a 75-yard pick-6 from Marcus Peters to pull the Raiders within 16-14 of the Lions during the third quarter, Detroit fumbled on its very next drive and Las Vegas recovered. However, the Lions' defense forced a three and out, before Gibbs made a sensational cut back to break a 27-yard touchdown run as the team took a 23-14 lead into the fourth quarter.

Riley Patterson knocked four of five kicks through the uprights, including the 52-yard field goal he produced in the fourth quarter, for the Lions who improve to 6-2 this season.

Jimmy Garoppolo struggled for the Raiders, mustering just 126 yards passing without a touchdown. He threw an interception and was sacked six times in the painful loss.

Here's how the entire Lions vs. Raiders game went.
