The rookie quarterback threw for 164 yards and rushed for another 75 yards. The latter yards really exemplified how dazzling the 24-year-old can be on his feet.
With this kind of mobility and ability to extend plays, Nix has a chance to power the Broncos well past their 4-3 record.
Javonte Williams had his best game of the season
The running back has been solid all year long. However, Thursday night was Williams' best showing of the season as he rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, showing how potent he is on the ground.
He keeps running like this and the Broncos have a chance to chew up the clock against teams and impose their will.
The Broncos' defense is elite
There's no way around it: The Broncos have a top-tier defense and that has been evident over the course of this season.
Denver's defense has held each of its opponents to 20 points or less, including limiting the Saints to just 10 points on Thursday night.
As part of that win, the Broncos' D racked up six sacks, forced two fumbles and produced a pick-six touchdown.
Altogether, the Broncos are allowing only 284 yards per game — the fourth-best mark in the NFL.
Richard Sherman ripped Saints' coach Dennis Allen
As part of the Prime Video stream, Sherman ripped Saints' coach Dennis Allen.
Speaking on the Saints' effort against Denver, the former Super Bowl champion said: "It seems like they want to get their coach fired! That's the effort they're playing with... Dennis Allen, you call a timeout so we can watch your quarterback take a knee?! Do you want to torture these Saints' fans!?"
Drew Brees was the only bright spot for the Saints
Saints' fans piling into the Caesars Superdome on Thursday night saw their home team get steamrolled but they can take solace in the squad's Hall of Fame induction ceremony for former Saints' quarterback Drew Brees.
The former Super Bowl MVP got all the adulation from the New Orleans faithful, giving them something to cheer about on an otherwise miserable night.
