Garrett Wilson's otherworldly catch leads the takeaways from the New York Jets' 21-13 home win over the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football.

Here, DAZN presents five takeaways from the game to unpack.

Garrett Wilson's thrilling grab was immediately compared to Odell Beckham's iconic reception from 10 years ago

Odell Beckham Jr.'s iconic catch took place 10 years ago at MetLife Stadium and has long been considered arguably the greatest catch in NFL history.

So just imagine how special Wilson's leaping, falling back one-handed touchdown grab was Thursday night to immediately be compared to OBJ's catch.

Not only was the reception the catch of the year, it belongs amongst the holy grail of all time catches. Not to mention, it might have saved the Jets' season.

In securing that catch, as part of his nine receptions for 90 yards and two TDs on the night, the third-year wideout has given himself an indelible signature moment that will live on as his star profile continues to rise.

Thus far this season, Wilson has produced 51 receptions for 573 yards and three touchdowns.

The chemistry between Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams is special

With the NFL world still buzzing about Wilson's thrilling catch, Rodgers was able to find Adams for the wide receiver's first touchdown as a Jet.

Of course, the two were longtime teammates with the Green Bay Packers prior to joining Gang Green.

But just to put their chemistry into perspective, their touchdown hookup Thursday night marked the 69th time they connected on a TD.

With chemistry like that, no wonder  Rodgers wanted to be reunited.

The Jets' defense can be dominant

Yes, C.J. Stroud was without injured Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins, possibly pressing him to force the issue on offense for the Texans.

Still, nobody had eight sacks on Stroud on their Bingo cards prior to the national spotlight game.

Sacking the dynamic QB for a loss of 56 yards, while keeping him out of the end zone exemplified how staunch the Jets' defense can be.

Can the Jets make a playoff push?

Wilson's unreal catch drew awestruck reactions but can it present the momentum shift needed for the Jets to start a winning streak to actually push toward the playoffs?

With the win Thursday night, the Jets snapped a five-game skid and improved to just 3-6 in what has been a disappointing season thus far.

Gang Green visits the Arizona Cardinals for Week 10 before hosting the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 — two .500-level squads. If the Jets can find a way to win those games and get to 5-6, they'll come off a bye week to face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13 for the chance to get to .500 themselves.

Can they do it?

Help is on the way for Stroud

Collins is slated to rejoin the Texans for their huge Week 10 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

As potent as Stroud is at the quarterback position, he can't go another week scrambling for his life the way he did against the Jets. He needs Collins back as the wideout's 32 receptions for 567 yards and three touchdowns are just the kind of threat they'll need against the Lions' secondary.
