Saquon Barkley managed to follow an 146 yards rushing performance in Week 11 wiith a ridiculous 255 yards rushing and two touchdowns on Sunday Night Football as the dynamic running back led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 37-20 road win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Here, DAZN News lists five takeaways from the Eagles' seventh straight victory.

It's time to put Saquon Barkley at the front of the MVP race

As an encore to producing 198 total yards and two touchdowns last week, Barkley posted 302 total yards and two TDs on Sunday night.

With the massive performance, Barkley currently leads the NFL in rushing yards this season with 1,392.

Barkley's performance pushed the Eagles (9-2) to their seventh straight victory and if they keep up their winning ways, the 27-year-old rusher may very well find himself in contention for the MVP.

As of now, putting him in front of the race is a must.

Be clear — Barkley is having an all-time historic NFL season for a running back

His Week 12 fireworks as part of his 2024 portfolio, Barkley is having himself one of the greatest NFL seasons ever for a running back.

To put it in perspective, his 255 yards rushing Sunday night placed him ninth all-time on the NFL's single-game rushing leaders list. It also marked a career-high and set the Eagles' franchise record for a single-game rushing performance.

In addition, Barkley is on pace at the moment to finish the season with 2,151 rushing yards, which would surpass Eric Dickerson's all-time best 2,105 rushing yards set in 1984.

Barkley will have six more games to attain the record.

A.J. Brown's yards after the catch are what cornerbacks' and safeties' nightmares are made of

As if Barkley's eye-popping performance wasn't enough, Brown had himself his fourth 100 yards-plus receiving game of the season.

The physical wideout hauled in six receptions on seven targets for 109 yards and one TD.

But it was the way he went about it that was demoralizing for the Rams as he repeatedly extended his yards after the catch with physical and finessing real-time adjustments.

Like Barkley, Brown is a major weapon for this high-octane Eagles' offense.

Matthew Stafford entered Sunday night's game coming off a four-touchdown performance in Week 11.

Well, he was met with furious Eagles' pressure that accounted for five sacks toward a loss of 45 yards as Philly helped curb a surging NFL offense in impressive fashion.

Despite the loss, the Rams are right in the race for the NFC West

Yes, this loss hurts as the Rams fell to 5-6, yet despite being under .500, they are right in the thick of this NFC West race.

The San Francisco 49ers are also 5-6 as they're both looking up to the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals who each own a 6-5 record.

The Rams will face their divsion rivals once each to end this season, spelling time for their run.

With a healthy Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua for Stafford to find, the Rams stand a solid chance to make a run at the postseason.
