The San Francisco 49ers finally notched their first division win of this season as they scored a 36-24 road win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
The national spotlight game had plenty to unpack and DAZN lists five takeaways from the NFC West tilt here:
Any time Brock Purdy needs a spark, he looks to Deebo Samuel
Purdy had a big Thursday Night Football outing, throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns.
And to get himself going, Purdy looked to who he always looks to for a spark — none other than Deebo Samuel.
The star wideout responded by taking a pass and breaking loose down the sideline for an electric 76-yard touchdown hookup that the Niners never looked back from.
The 49ers' running game by committee is filling the Christian McCaffrey void
It's not easy to fill a void left by McCaffrey, the 2023 NFL Offensive Player of The Year. Yet, the 49ers' running back by committee backfield is finding a way to do just that.
On Thursday night, San Francisco had six players combine for 228 yards and a touchdown rushing, led by Isaac Guerendo's 99 yards on the ground which included this unexpected play.
The Niners' running game just keeps finding a way.
Niners won, but they had to squash some bad déjà vu"
Yes, the Niners were victorious but they had to once again overcome a bad feeling of déjà vu" to get back into the win column.
Days after watching their 10-point fourth quarter vanish in the form of a late loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the 49ers once again saw their lead dwindle
This time it was a 20-point lead that got trimmed all the way to just a five-point deficit.
Thursday night, however, the Niners generated enough answers to eventually drop the hammer on a rally attempt.
George Kittle, Kyle Juszczyk combined for this memorable celebration
Kittle just couldn't help it. After hauling in his second touchdown reception of the game, the Niners tight end and fullback teammate Jusczcyk had to pull off their orchestrated celebration in tandem with their wives.
Where do the Seahawks go from here?
After starting this season 3-0, the Seahawks have suffered a free fall in the form of three straight losses to drop to 3-3.
They'll need a win on the road against Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons next weekend to get back over .500.
