Former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan says he would select Joe Burrow over Josh Allen given the choice.
Lewan, who was speaking on the Up&Adams Show, attributed a big portion of his decision down to "recency bias" after the Cincinnati Bengals' victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football.
Burrow - who struggled at the start of the season - has refound his form and in the Bengals' Week 9 win he threw for 348 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
On the other side of the field, Allen threw for 258 yards, one touchdown and one interception - though he also rushed for 44 yards and a score.
Lewan was quick to point out the rushing upside with Allen offers at the position, but ultimately leant towards Burrow when asked who he would pick.
"That's a tough question, I know Josh better but right now, with recency bias you have to go Joe Burrow," Lewan told the Up&Adams Show.
"He won that game, he was dicing the Bills up and down the field, he did a phenominal job and they are catching stride at the right time - you have to take Joe.
"But some of the plays Josh had, stiff arming guys on 3rd & 3. A lot of times people want the quarterback to slide, but Josh is hurdling and doing his own thing. It is the excitement that Bills Mafia needs."
