The Jets fear bad news for their star quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers took the field in his New York Jets' regular season debut on Monday Night Football and four snaps later after being sacked, he was carted off the field and ruled out for the rest of the game.

And what was feared as an ankle injury could very well be worse. After the Jets found a way to defeat the Buffalo Bills, 22-16 in Overtime, Jets coach Robert Saleh told the media that he fears that Rodgers might have suffered a torn Achilles, as reported by ESPN.

"It's not good," Saleh told a pool of reporters, as reported by ESPN.

Rodgers, 39, will have an MRI on Tuesday.

If Saleh's fears of a torn Achilles for Rodgers rings true, it would be devastating news for the Jets who were hopeful that the future lock Hall of Fame quarterback could lead them deep into the postseason this year.

Rodgers' injury occurred in the first quarter upon Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd sacking him for a loss.
