The Super Bowl is one of the most watched sports events in the world, and Super Bowl LIX looks set to be no exception, available across the globe live on DAZN.

In America due to the mammoth TV audience, local broadcasters can charge millions for advertising spots. Companies are desperate to advertise their products in front of a vast audience.

So, as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to go head-to-head once again in the biggest game of all, how much could a spot set you back?

How much could a Super Bowl advert cost?

The 2024 Super Bowl broadcaster, CBS, sold 30-second ad slots for roughly $7 million each, according to USA Today.

With Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch reportedly telling investors in November that the ad inventory was completely sold out at “what we believe are record pricing,” it's fair to assume that 30-second slots were sold for at least $7 million each — if not more.

For Super Bowl 57, US broadcaster FOX raked in nearly $600 million from advertisements.

Of course, the air time is just one cost advertisers must bear as they must also produce the ads, often at a hefty cost as celebrities are often involved to help sell the product or service on offer.

Super Bowl advertisement costs have steadily risen since 2015. With traditional TV seeing declines in viewership, the Super Bowl is becoming increasingly important to advertisers and broadcasters.
