Jacksonville Jaguars kicked off their preseason with an entertaining victory over the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
Both teams used the game to give debuts to the latest crop of rookies, while the Jaguars also gave an early drive to their starters.
And while Trevor Lawrence found Christian Kirk for a first-quarter touchdown, the game's best bit of quarterback play came from back-up Nathan Rourke.
Rourke began his career playing in the Canadian Football League. After a breakout season in 2022 he attended workouts for several NFL franchises before signing with the Jaguars in January 2023.
Making his first appearance for Jacksonville on Saturday, the 25-year-old put in an impressive performance, completing nine of 17 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown while also rushing six times for 20 yards and a score.
But the highlight of the game was the passing touchdown, and what a touchdown it was.
Late in the fourth quarter on 3rd &16, the Canadian was swarmed by Cowboys defenders and a sack looked inevitable.
But Rourke somehow escaped, shrugging off three tackles in the process, before getting his head up and finding Qadree Ollison downfield for a 21-yard touchdown.
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said: "I haven't seen too many plays like that, even in a preseason game. So, hats off to him."
