The Chiefs begin their preseason this week.

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has signed a new four-year deal with the franchise, per Ian Rapoport.

The deal makes Butker the highest-paid kicker in the NFL, earning $6.4m per year.

Earlier this year against the San Francisco 49ers, the 29-year-old kicked a 57-yard field goal which became the longest ever made in Super Bowl history.

Butker has also made more field goals in a single season than any Chiefs kicker in history, and his 142 points scored in 2017 is a single-season record for Chiefs kickers.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, himself, Butker said: "There’s no place I’d rather be than with the Chiefs, excited to finalize a 4 year extension. To the Heights!"

The Chiefs begin their preseason action against the Jacksonville Jaguars later this week.
