Kansas City Chiefs improve to 5-0 after overpowering New Orleans Saints on Monday Night FootballDAZN
The defending back-to-back Super Bowl champions remain undefeated.

The New Orleans Saints pulled within three points of the Kansas City Chiefs early in the fourth quarter, but the defending back-to-back Super Bowl champions had just the answer.

Patrick Mahomes hooked up with JuJu Smith-Schuster for a 50-yard gain before Travis Kelce took a direct snap a few plays later and handed it to Xavier Worthy for the touchdown. That score put the game out of reach as the Chiefs produced a 26-13 home victory over the Saints at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday Night Football.

Mahomes wound up with 331 yards passing, while Kareem Hunt rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown as the Chiefs improved to 5-0. Harrison Butker also connected on four field goals to help the Chiefs overwhelm the Saints, before heading into their bye week.

The Chiefs will return to action on October 20 when they visit the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch from Super Bowl LVIII.

Meanwhile, the Saints suffered their third consecutive loss, falling to 2-3 on the season. More concerning, however, is starting quarterback Derek Carr left the game in the fourth quarter after being hit hard by a Chiefs' blitz on a fourth-down pass attempt.

Here are all the key updates and highlights from the Chiefs vs. Saints on Monday Night Football.
