What has Lamar done to become MVP?

Lamar Jackson is the reigning NFL MVP. At February's NFL Honors, Jackson collected his second MVP Award. He is the youngest quarterback in NFL history to have multiple MVP titles.

At 27, Jackson is already one of the NFL's premier players. But it was a challenging road to get there. Former NFL quarterback and Jackson's former teammate, Robert Griffin III, has opened up about how Jackson became an MVP quarterback.

As a guest on the Punch Line Podcast, Griffin said, "His throwing motion used to look ugly. But we brought a specialist to work with Lamar to help him become more technically sound.

"Lamar struggled with each throw in his rookie year and year two. They helped build him from the ground up so that Lamar could get his hips through each throw and gave him a base.

"Now you have seen the change. Lamar gets his hips through each throw. He's so much more fluid. He hasn't changed his throwing motion; he's just crisper in everything he does."

Griffin also praised Jackson's game-management skills, saying, "I have been so impressed by Lamar—especially his game-management skills. Last season, Lamar managed the game better than ever."
