It looked like one of the better matchups of the weekend on paper and Sunday's Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Chargers game lived up to the hype.
With seven lead changes and 70 total poiints between the two teams, the game was never a bore as the Dolphins held off the host Chargers for a 36-34 victory.
Led by massive performances from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins were able to go toe-to-toe with a high-powered Chargers team on their home turf.
Tagovailoa racked up 466 yards with three touchdown passes and one interception, and two of those TD passes were to Hill, whose speed was overwhelming for the Chargers defence at times. The 29-year-old accumulated 215 yards on 11 receptions for an average of 19.5 yards per reception.
In the end, the Dolphins outgunned a Chargers team that included big performances from running backs Austin Ekeler (117 yards, 1 TD) and Joshua Kelley (91 yards, 1 TD) , along with quarterback Justin Herbert, who himself ran the ball in for a major to go with his one TD pass.
