New England Patriots owner Roberts Kraft has announced that they will waive the usual waiting period and enter Tom Brady to the Hall of Fame next year.
Brady, widely considered to be the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, retired at the end of last season.
The 46-year-old won seven Super Bowls during his playing career, more than any other player or franchise in history.
Kraft announced during the Patriots' game against Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 that Brady will be inducted on June 12, 2024.
The date is significant, as Brady wore the number 12 shirt at the Patriots where he won six Super Bowls.
Players usually have to go through a four-year waiting period before being inducted into the Hall of Fame but an exception has been made for 'The GOAT'.
"One thing I am sure of, and that will never change, is that I am a Patriot for life," Brady said to the crowd at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
