On Tuesday, the NFL announced the players of the week for the AFC and NFC in Week 17.
AFC
Offense: Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow helped keep the Bengals' slim playoff hopes alive with 412 passing yards and four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in Cincinnati's 30-24 overtime win against the Denver Broncos.
The quarterback recorded a 122.1 passer rating en route to his seventh-career Player of the Week award.
Defense: Tyrel Dodson, Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins linebacker recorded 15 tackles and an interception in Miami's 20-3 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Dodson led all players for tackles in Week 17, earning him his first-career POTW nod.
Special teams: Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers
Dicker went 4/4 on his field goal attempts, including a 41-yard field goal, and made all four of his PAT attempts in the Chargers’ 40-7 victory over the New England Patriots.
The kicker is now a three-time POTW winner.
NFC
Offense: Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mayfield boasted a 153.0 passer rating in Tampa Bay's 48-14 win over the Carolina Panthers, completing 27 of 32 pass attempts (84.4 percent) for 359 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions.
This is the sixth-career POTW award for the Bucs QB.
Defense: C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Philadelphia Eagles
Gardner-Johnson had one of the highlights of Week 17 with his 69-yard pick-six, one of two interceptions he recorded in Philadelphia’s 41-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
This is the first POTW honour for the Eagles safety.
Special teams: Ihmir Smith-Marsette, New York Giants
Speaking of Week 17 highlights, Smith-Marsette had a 100-yard kickoff-return touchdown in the Giants 45-33 win against the Indianapolis Colts.
It was tied for the longest kickoff-return by a player this season, and it earned Smith-Marsette his first-career POTW nod.
