Time is dwindling on this 2024 NFL season. With playoff and championship ramifications on the line in fantasy football, DAZN News lists some enticing options for your waivers.
Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers
After airing it out for 289 yards and three touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, Aaron Rodgers should be considered again even against a tougher Los Angeles Rams this weekend. Try to land him off waivers.
Matthew Stafford
If Stafford is still floating around and available, you could opt for him this weekend as well. He’s trying to push the Rams into a playoff spot, making the urgency there.
Plus, his numbers have been solid since the return of a full strength receiving corps.
Drake Maye
Throwing for a touchdown and running in another last week makes Maye an option for this weekend. However, the New England Patriots’ matchup against the rugged Buffalo Bills gives plenty of cause for pause.
Still, if you’re thin at QB, he Maye just do it for you.
Running backs
Jerome Ford
With Nick Chubb out, Ford capitalized, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on seven carries against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Snatch him off the waivers and start him against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tyjae Spears
Spears showed his value as a dual threat last week. Stuffed for five yards on four carries rushing, Spears racked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown on six catches for the Tennessee Titans last week.
Play him again at the Indianapolis Colts … if you can secure him off waivers first.
Kendre Miller
The New Orleans Saints running back could be in store for a big day if Alvin Kamara doesn’t suit up or is hampered by injury.
That makes him an intriguing possibility when the Saints visit the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
Wide receivers
Romeo Doubs
What a splashy return Doubs had last week, hauling in three receptions for 40 yards and two touchdowns in a Packers’ win over the Seattle Seahawks.
He’s a must grab and start when the Packers host the Saints on Monday Night Football. He and Jordan Love could very well hook up for a few more scores.
Keon Coleman
With the New England Patriots’ secondary paltry, the Bills’ rookie wideout could dazzle with Josh Allen slinging him the ball.
Another grab and start off waivers.
Quentin Johnston
How many times must Johnston’s name be brought up here weekly before you make a move? If last week’s performance was any sample size, it’s now or never for you to acquire him.
The Los Angeles Chargers’ wide receiver is coming off a season-high 10 targets which he turned into five catches for 45 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay.
He’ll have a tough Thursday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos, but will be home to do it.
