Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season was a good one on the whole for running backs, as Alvin Kamara, De'Von Achane and James Cook were among those to have big games.
It was not a great week for everyone though, as Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco fractured his right fibula and will need at least six weeks to recover.
If you are the Pacheco manager needing to find a back-up, or just on the hunt for a new RB to bolster your fantasy roster, DAZN has you covered.

With Pacheco sidelined, the question now is who will lead the Kansas City Chiefs' rushing game.
Rookie Carson Steele flashed in preseason, but has had just nine carries in two weeks - one of which is fumbled.
Samaje Perine was signed in the offseason from the Denver Broncos, but the 29-year-old veteran has not had a single rushing attempt since joining the Chiefs.
With Clyde Edwards-Helaire also missing time, the Chiefs are reportedly looking at free agent running backs - including Kareem Hunt.
As a rookie with the Chiefs, Hunt finished as the RB4 on the season, and has had two other top-12 finishes, but since 2021 his best fantasy finish is RB39.
That being said, Hunt did score nine touchdowns for the Cleveland Browns last season, and could become fantasy-relevant again if the Chiefs sign him.

Breece Hall is, and will continue to be, the lead running back for the New York Jets, but rookie Braelon Allen proved in Week 2 he has value.
At just 20 years old, Allen is the youngest skill position player in the NFL, and against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 he scored a rushing and receiving touchdown on nine touches.
In the process Allen became the youngest player ever to do so, and although he will not usurp Hall anytime soon, performances like he showed against the Titans will earn him more snaps moving forward.

If you are needing a short-term solution, then Houston Texans running back Cam Akers could be the answer.
Joe Mixon picked up an injury in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears and back-up Dameon Pierce missed the game entirely with a hamstring injury.
Neither Mixon or Pierce's injuries appear to be significant, but they could force both to miss Week 3's game against the Minnesota Vikings, which would allow Akers to be the lead back for this high-powered offense.

Another veteran who could have some value in the upcoming weeks is D'Onta Foreman of the Cleveland Browns.
Foreman has been competing with Pierre Strong for the back-up running back role in Cleveland, and Strong suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
That injury means Foreman, who had 14 carries against the Jags, is the clear number two option in Week 3 against the struggling New York Giants.
