There is a lot to like about North Carolina's quarterback prospect Drake Maye.
The 21-year-old has a prototypical quarterback build and threw for just under 8,000 yards and 62 touchdowns across his last two seasons of college football.
Maye is predicted by many mock drafts to be taken second or third overall, which would likely see him land with the Washington Commanders or New England Patriots.
However, one thing that has been criticised about Maye's game is his footwork in the pocket, something he has now spoken out about.
Speaking to the Up & Adams show, Maye had his say on the matter.
"Sometimes people say I get out a little early or can hang in there more instead of getting on the run, but the critiquing in the media world happens to any prospect out there," said Maye.
"Teams have been more excited to meet me, they know I can make all the throws and know I'm an intelligent kid.
"That's more what they are focused on."
