Philadelphia Eagles great Fletcher Cox has announced his retirement after 12 seasons with the franchise.
The defensive tackle was a six-time Pro Bowler and part of the Eagles side that won Super Bowl LII, the team's only Super Bowl title to date.
Fletcher’s retirement follows Jason Kelce’s announcement earlier this month that he too was hanging up his cleats as the Eagles see a second modern great call time on their one-club careers.
"After much reflection, I have made the decision to retire from the game of football," Cox in an emotional statement posted on social media. "I gave everything I had to this team and to this city. I don't know what's next for me, but I do know that I'm forever grateful for my time here in Philadelphia and with the Eagles organization. Go Birds!"
