Jalen Hurts and the Eagles improve to 2-0.

Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles on a 16-play, 75-yard drive, which chewed up nearly eight minutes off the clock, and ended with him punching in a goal-line touchdown.

That second quarter game-defining drive, in which 13 of the 16 plays were on the ground, helped develop a heavy rushing attack from the Eagles that they kept using toward a 34-28 home victory over the Vikings at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday Night Football.

Eagles running back D'Andre Swift rushed for a career-high 175 yards, while adding a touchdown, on 28 carries. Hurts had two goal-line rushing TDs behind a plowing offensive line and passed for one more. Altogether, the Eagles accumulated 259 rushing yards.

The Eagles' imposing rushing along with Minnesota committing four fumbles proved to be too much for Kirk Cousins to overcome, despite the Vikings quarterback airing it out for 364 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Minnesota also caught a bad break when a stretching Justin Jefferson fumbled the ball over the pylon in the end zone following a 30-yard reception, negating a possible touchdown, and instead was ruled a touchback in the second quarter. That turnover led to the Eagles cashing in a 61-yard field goal to take a 13-7 lead into halftime. They'd build onto that margin from there.

When Cousins was sacked from his blindside and forced into fumbling early in the third quarter, the Eagles (2-0) converted that turnover into another Hurts' goal-line TD two plays later.

Later in the same quarter, Hurts found DeVonta Smith for a 63-yard quick-strike of a touchdown, taking advantage of 1-on-1 coverage. That extended the Eagles' lead to 27-7 and although Cousins would later pull the Vikings (0-2) to as close as 34-28, their costly turnovers and the Eagles' ground game were too much to get past, as time ran out on their rally attempt.

Here's how the entire Eagles vs. Vikings' Thursday Night Football game went.
