The NFL Wild Card playoff games were full of drama and excitement, with many record-breaking performances that left fans buzzing, all live on DAZN.
DAZN News looks at the jaw-dropping records defining this unforgettable weekend of playoff football.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been sensational in 2024. He broke several records in his rookie year, including the most rushing yards for a rookie quarterback with 891, surpassing the previous record of 815 yards set by Robert Griffin III in 2012.
As impressive as his accomplishments were during the regular season, the record Daniels set during the Commanders’ 23-20 Wild Card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers arguably mattered more.
Daniels accounted for most of the Commanders’ offense in the game and became the first rookie to lead his team in passing and rushing in a playoff victory. He completed 24-of-35 passing for 268 yards, threw two touchdowns, and added 36 rushing yards.
Quarterback playoff rushing record broken twice in one day
Lamar Jackson ran for 81 yards as the Baltimore Ravens beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
With that performance, Jackson increased his career rushing yards in the NFL postseason to 602, beating the mark of 594 previously held by Steve Young.
However, Jackson’s record was short-lived, as Josh Allen surpassed him by rushing for 42 yards in the Buffalo Bills’ victory over the Denver Broncos, increasing his total to 609.
This record will undoubtedly be broken again in the divisional round as the Ravens and Bills advanced to the divisional round.
McConkey’s big day a lone bright spot for the Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers have very few positives to take from their first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Houston Texans, but the performance of Ladd McConkey should not be overlooked.
McConkey helped the Chargers reach the playoffs by setting new Chargers rookie records in receptions and receiving yards during the regular season.
In the loss to the Texans, the 23-year-old had a season-best nine catches for 197 yards, which broke the previous rookie record in a playoff game set by Puka Nacua at 181 yards.
The Rams’ defense turns the pressure up on Sam Darnold
The performance of the Los Angeles Rams’ defense was instrumental in helping the team to an improbable win over the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round, and they broke several defensive records in the process.
They pressured Sam Darnold 42 times - the most generated in a single game by a defense in the 2024 season. The Rams also sacked Darnold nine times, which set a new franchise playoff and tied for the most in a playoff game in the Super Bowl era by any team.
Cobie Durant and Ahkello Witherspoon collected two of the Rams’ sacks, marking the first time two cornerbacks on the same team recorded at least one sack in a playoff game.
Finally, it was the first time in playoff history that a quarterback or team lost more than 80 yards due to sacks.
Derrick Henry rubs shoulders with giants
The Baltimore Ravens ground game was unstoppable in their 28-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Henry accounted for 186 of the Ravens’ 299 rushing yards.
With this performance, Henry tied Hall of Famer Terrell Davis’ playoff record of four playoff games with at least 150 rushing yards.
He also set a playoff record for most rushing yards against a Steelers defense in the postseason.
