The Niners get their first division win of the season.

The Seattle Seahawks chipped away at the San Francisco 49ers' lead.

But every time they did, the Niners came up with an answer to ultimately defeat their NFC West division rival, 36-24, at Lumen Field in Seattle under the national spotlight of Thursday Night Football. Brock Purdy completed 18-of-28 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns — two of which were hauled in by George Kittle and the other by Deebo Samuel.

The Niners took a commanding 20-point lead in the third quarter but two Seattle touchdowns saw that margin dwindle to just six points entering the fourth quarter.

That's when a Geno Smith interception turned into Purdy threading the needle to find Kittle in a crowded end zone for his second touchdown with 6:20 left.

Though Smith would deliver a touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett to pull Seattle within 29-24 of San Francisco's lead, the Niners once again came up with the opportune answer as Isaac Guerendo broke loose down the sideline for a 76-yard rush, before Kyle Juszczyk punched in the TD to drop the final hammer on the Seahawks' rally.
