It is that time again in the NFL offseason where teams have to start making a call about who will be their quarterback for 2024.
For some teams, this will not be a concern, but for others the decision will now be between drafting a rookie or signing a quarterback from free agency - which they can do from 13 March.
The majority of proven quarterbacks in the 2024 free agency are long-standing NFL veterans, so not a long-term solution.
But there are some great quarterbacks available who can helps teams for the upcoming 2024 season, and DAZN takes a look at five of them.
Kirk Cousins
The standout name among the quarterbacks available in free agency this offseason is former Minnesota Viking Kirk Cousins.
The four-time Pro Bowler, 35, has thrown for over 4,000 passing yards in all-but-one of his healthy seasons in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots are potential landing spots for Cousins.
Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson's time at the Denver Broncos was an unmitigated disaster, but following his release the Super Bowl XLVIII winner is on the hunt for a new team.
The nine-time Pro Bowler, 35, will still be paid huge amounts by the Broncos so could prove to be a budget signing for a team in need of a proven quarterback for the 2024 season.
Gardner Minshew
Gardner Minshew is coming off his first Pro Bowl season after leading the Indianapolis Colts to a 9-8 season after a season-ending injury for rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Despite his career season, Minshew is a free agent once again - though the Colts could still opt to bring the 27-year-old back to Lucas Oil Stadium as Richardson's back-up again for 2024.
Ryan Tannehill
Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be 36 by the time the 2024 NFL season roles around, but he still has ambitions of playing as a starter in the NFL.
The 2012 eighth overall pick would likely be a stop-gap for a team in 2024, with the Broncos and Vikings two teams rumoured to be interested after the departures of Wilson and Cousins respectively.
Baker Mayfield
Baker Mayfield revived his NFL career in 2023 after a brilliant season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he helped the Bucs reach the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
The 2018 number one overall pick is expected to earn the full-time job on a multiple-season deal with the Bucs, but as things stand Mayfield is a free agent.
