The Scouting Combine puts the latest group of aspiring NFL stars through their paces.
The week-long event at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis sees players from all positions try to prove themselves to the eagle-eyed scouts.
There are plenty of drills that the players are asked to attempt, but one of the most eagerly anticipated is the 40-yard dash.
As the name suggests, the players must sprint 40-yards in the lowest possible time to prove their athleticism.
There have been some blisteringly quick times.
Last year cornerback D.J. Turner clocked the joint-fifth fastest time on record at 4.26 seconds.
But the quickest time ever posted was back in 2017 when wide receiver John Ross clocked in at 4.22.
That speed caught the attention of the NFL scouts, and Ross was selected ninth overall by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Cornerback Kalon Barnes is second on the all-time list at 4.23 seconds, ahead of Chris Johnson and Rondel Menendez who share third place at 4.24 seconds.
Only two players to run the 40-yard dash in under 4.30 seconds have ever gone undrafted, and both were later signed as free agents.
