Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady will return to the NFL in 2024, but he won’t be wearing any pads.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion hung up his cleats after the 2022 season and after sitting out last year, he will be heading to the broadcast booth this year.
Brady agreed a reported ten-year deal worth $375million with Fox Sports to be their lead colour commentator in 2022, a contract which makes him the highest-paid sports commentator in history.
Which game will Tom Brady be commentating on in Week 1?
Ahead of Wednesday night’s full schedule release, the NFL have revealed a number of high-profile Week 1 fixtures.
Among these is the Dallas Cowboys at the Cleveland Browns, which will be the Sunday afternoon game featured as Fox Sports’ America’s Game of the Week and will see Brady make his broadcasting bow.
The game will feature two teams that made the playoffs last season, with the Cowboys winning the NFC East before being beaten by the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round, while the Browns’ late-season surge saw them earn a wild card berth before they lost to the Houston Texans to go one-and-done in the playoffs.
