It has not been the best start to 2023 for the sophomore.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson has not had the start to 2023 that he had hoped.

After a seven-touchdown rookie campaign, many expected the second year wide receiver to take his game to the next level in 2023.

However through six weeks Dotson has just 17 catches for 140 yards and one touchdown.

After their Week 6 win over the Atlanta Falcons, quarterback Sam Howell said "he [Dotson] is a hell of a player. I want to get him the ball more".

However, on Thursday Dotson was spotted before practice working with the special teams co-ordinator Nate Kaczor.

Bizarrely, the wide receiver was seen taken snaps as a holder for extra-points and field goals.

It remains to be seen if Dotson will have any involvement in the Commanders' special teams going forward, or if he can up his involvement in the passing game.

The sophomore's next chance to impress comes in a Week 7 road game against the New York Giants.
