A postseason run is within reach.

The Cleveland Browns are going into Week 16 as fifth seed in the AFC, holding a record of 9-5 on the season.

Given the quarterback injury problems that Cleveland have dealt with this season, their nine wins in such a competitive division is an impressive total.

The Browns have just one more win than those AFC teams currently in the hunt for a playoff place, and their Week 16 match could hardly be bigger.

Cleveland travel south to face the Houston Texans who are 8-5 on the season but missing star rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

As a result, this crucial match will see Joe Flacco at quarterback for the Browns as Case Keenum starting for the Texans.

If the Browns win two more games they will be guaranteed a postseason place, but if they can beat the Texans on Sunday they will have a greater than 99% chance - according to the New York Times' analysis.

Who do the Browns still have to play?

  • Week 16 at Texans
  • Week 17 vs. Jets
  • Week 18 at Bengals
