Amir Khan and Kell Brook both weighed in under the limit for their catchweight fight on Saturday night.
The two 35-year-olds have been linked with a fight for the best part of a decade and with their age, a catchweight of 149 lbs was agreed to make sure they were able to make the cutoff.
That did not stop Brook from suggesting he might still come in over the agreed limit, which reportedly would incur a six-figure fine for every pound in excess.
On Friday the pair reported for the weigh-in for the following day’s fight in Manchester, and they both stepped onto the scales to record their status. Thankfully for their respective finances, both made the cut.
Brook came in at 10st 8lbs 5oz, the heavier of the two, which might be why he was unsure earlier in the week if he would be able to squeeze in.
His long-standing rival Khan was a pound lighter at 10st 7lbs 5oz.
