Joseph Parker has "upset the apple cart" in the heavyweight division, believes Andy Lee, ahead of his bout with Daniel Dubois next month.
The New Zealander will challenge for the IBF heavyweight title held by the Briton at Riyadh Season's The Last Crescendo in Saudi Arabia.
Parker, a former world champion between 2016 and 2018, is seeking to dethrone Dubois after a steady career rebuild that has seen some big wins.
Now trainer Lee has pointed to his success at disrupting the expected pecking order as another reason he can pick up the victory at the Kingdom Arena.
"He's the one that has upset the apple cart, Joseph," told DAZN 's Face-Off . "There's been plans for fights to be made, and he's stepped in and upset those plans.
"We're planning on doing it again on February 22. We know what Daniel has, [with] a great jab [and] great power.
[He is] maybe not as fast as Joe, maybe not as good at footwork as Joe. What Joe has is intelligence.
"He's a clever, clever fighter. That's how we defused the power of Deontay Wilder, that's how we outsmarted Zhang.
"Now what he has, which people are underestimating, is added size. I've felt it every day in the pads, and you're going to see it."
