Anthony Cacace shocked the world against Joe Cordina earlier this year and Tony Bellew is interested to see how the Belfast man performs in his next fight.
Cacace will face Josh Warrington this weekend, live on DAZN, on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois, and it’s a fight that has plenty of fight fans excited.
Earlier this year, Cacace caused a huge shock when he produced a stunning stoppage to win the super-featherweight title against Joe Cordina.
The IBF have not permitted Cacace to defend that belt against Warrington this weekend, but despite no honours being attached to the contest, Bellew is expecting a high-quality fight.
“Both of these fighters love to get in the middle of the ring and just go at it, and this should be no different,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN.
“Cacace looked absolutely brilliant against Cordina and if he can take that momentum into the Warrington fight then he’ll be hard to go against.
“I don’t know where Warrington is with his career after the loss to Leigh Wood, but if he can rediscover the form from the Carl Frampton and Lee Selby fights then it could be interesting.”
